Hi everyone! So sorry for the lack of updates on my blog recently, but I’m sure most of you are aware, I was very busy with my house renovations and moving in. I’ve been so busy throughout this whole process and thank god, we are officially moved in!
I’ve been getting a lot of feedback and questions regarding our house and our renovation, and most importantly, many of you are very interested in the property we have purchased!
I have a few thoughts and tips to share with you guys and I think it will be very helpful when it comes to purchasing your dream home! These are just a few things that I’d like to share because I didn’t think of these things before when we were choosing our property, and I hope you guys will find my tips useful!
1. Freebies
Hahaha, no I’m not being aunty here, but seriously, if you are purchasing a new property, do look out for freebies the developer might be offering! When we purchased our property, we were offered free SPA and legal fees, but no stamp duty. This stamp duty will have to be paid when your title is issued and the duty will depend on the size of your unit, so you have to put aside a few extra thousand ringgit to be accounted into the listed price of your property!
Also, we did get free 6 months of maintenance fees. This fee depends on the size of your unit, but do keep in mind that you have to budget for an additional RM200-400 every month!
Our unit was also “ready-to-move-in”, as the kitchen was completely done, along with the bathroom, wardrobe, washer and dryer, and air conditioning units included! By our own accounts we would have saved about 20-30 thousand ringgit on these when we were renovating our unit, and not to mention you would need to fork out cash for renovations, so any money saved here is wise!
2. Parking
Another important factor you might not think about is parking. Jo and I have two cars but only 1 parking spot! How? We were offered a parking spot for purchase at RM35,000.00, but how to afford?!! Now we end up parking one car outside as there’s no spots to rent as of yet!
3. Developer
I often hear horror stories from my friends regarding their developer missing deadlines, not fixing defects, poor workmanship and other problems, so I am very thankful I chose the right one!
Remember to research their background to avoid any future headaches.
If you are in the market for your future dream home or even an investment opportunity, I have some very interesting news for you!
Naza TTDI will be launching new high-rise homes in TTDI Alam Impian very soon, and you are invited to their exclusive preview on 24th and 25th of October at TTDI Impian Sales Gallery, from 10 am to 6 pm. There will be talks by property expert Ho Chin Soon and En. Ahyat Ishak, and Marinah, a Numerologist.
Olivina Residences is the first high-rise home in Alam Impian, with a choice of low-rise block and high-rise block with a 2-storey clubhouse, pools, pool deck, gym, therapeutic garden, landscaped gardens, kindergarten, and community halls!
Each unit is “ready-to-move-in”, with units having a minimum of 3 bedrooms and 2 parking bays! Starting from Olivina Loft units which sizes from 850 sq ft, bigger units that comes under Olivina Residences that sizes up to 1,160 sq feet even come with side gardens! Imagine how much money you would save on renovation and parking!
The high and low rise integration in community was also a brilliant idea that promotes conducive living. You know how we will always think of living near our parents so that we can reach out to them as often as we one? Community like Olivina would make a perfect place because while young married couples with budget constraints can live in smaller units like Olivina Loft, parents could live at the lower rise like Olivina Residence. Sounds good right?
I also like how this community is actually very practical in the sense that they focus a lot in the functionality of the house first before the aesthetic values. That’s why there are packages where they come with free furnishing and “ready-to-move-in” feature interest people like me a lot!
I even heard that there will be an super attractive sales package offered to prospective buyers which include things like free SPA and legal fees, free stamp duty, free 24 months maintenance fees and Internet, and not to mention early bird rebates!
And best of all, all of the units are freehold units!
For more information or to RSVP your invitation to the exclusive preview of Olivina Residences, please call 03-2718 1778. Units are limited so first-come-first-served!

I think thd parking is too expensive? here in the philippines, parking lot usually cost 1million (91,000 ringgit). But I also envy your country, in my country only “old people” parents or super rich can afford to buy a house or condo. condo here costs 5Million up to 10million (456,000 to 912,000 ringgit) and the building is not complete yet, all condos here starts the construction when the selling starts. and it usually takes 5years to complete, you can only move in in 5years or so.
