My final day in New orleans was pretty much what normal tourist woulds do, walking around, eating and taking pictures. So, I decided to just wake up without aid from my alarm, possibly the best part when it comes to traveling. I hate maps and doing research on where and what we should eat, so Jo is always the tour guide when it comes to traveling. Once we stepped out of our hotel, I was shocked when I saw the streets…
After
and Before..
We took a little walk along Bourbon Street, it felt totally different. No alcohol, no crowds and no beads!?!
Finally I get to take nice shot without pushing anyone out of my way.
Popeye’s again??? Yea yea, I love fast food, I love fried chicken so? wtf …
After lunch, we took a short walk around Canal Street…
Then we heard a very cute melody and we decided to follow it only to find this steamboat.
Our Tourist-y looking picture of the day.
Then we went into the French Market to get some snacks.
We found this coffee stand and it was overloaded with people.
When u see a long line outside a restaurant, you know you’re at the right place *wink*
As usual, I checked my Facebook and updated my Twitter while waiting.
After 15 mins, we finally got our beignets.
” Shake it like a Polaroid picture!”
They are pastries covered with loads of powdered sugar, kinda like French doughnuts. *thumbs up*
Yummy
We continued walking….
A square crowded with people.
Since we had nothing to do, we took a seat and spent the rest of our time watching a performance by a group of dancers.
The performance was entertaining plus the weather was sunny, everything was prefect!
Took picture at this Magic Castle lookalike building before heading back to our hotel.
Another tourist lookalike picture with both of us in it.
Then we headed back to our Hotel by taking this cute tramp.
One of my favorite pictures in new Orleans.
It was time to leave New Orleans and say Hi to a sunny warm place, Miami.
We passed by the New Orleans Saints’ football stadium on the way to the airport. They were celebrating their Super Bowl win the week before Mardi Gras started, so it was a total of 3 weeks of alcohol and celebrations to be exact.
Yup, I hand carried all the beads all the way from New Orleans – Miami then back to Kzoo. Trust me, they were really really heavy.
Will continue to blog about my Miami trip soon, so stay tuned…
p/s: Sorry for this short post, Im in a hurry =P

That building really looks like Magic Castle! I was wondering how come you’re in Disneyland when I first saw the pic!
I think taking the tramp is a must do thing for tourists in New Orleans! It’s one of the 1st few places who got the tramps, if I’m not mistaken.
