Mum said, “Bangkok again???” Yea, another Bangkok trip for us, I think this will be our 3rd trip within a year.
I kinda like it there, and I never get bored of Bangkok…at least for now la hahaha
I was telling Jo maybe we should go back to Bangkok after our wedding, and I wouldn’t mind going there as our mini honeymoon.
I told myself this trip is going to be very relaxing, no rushing around shopping malls and eating more than 5 meals a day just because of the time.
So we bought our ticket 2 weeks before our travel date and off we went!
We checked into Herritage Hotel but I wouldn’t recommend you guys to stay there because it’s pretty disappointing la, it’s quite dirty but the location is awesome! It’s located at Silom right at the BTS station. You can try I-Residence if you want to stay in Silom, I stayed there once and loved it! It’s pretty clean and the room is huge!
So the first thing I did in Bangkok is to look for corn! I was pretty excited when I saw a corn stall right in front of our hotel!
First stop was to visit their newly opened H&M in Siam Paragon. Came out empty handed just like back in Malaysia. Their clothing was ok but their lingerie selection was something to die for! It’s super sweet and cute but a bit pricy.
Then went to my favorite store, Jeffery Campbell, in Siam Paragon, and I was like a lil kid who got lost in a candy store! I didnt know where to start and which to buy hahah
Had a yummy steamboat dinner at MK in Siam Paragon.
Their duck is pretty yummy, the skin is very crispy! It wasn’t very expensive their price is quite reasonable and their service is awesome!
Christmas tree in front of Siam Paragon. It changes colors like every second, not just solid colors ok! It has pastel rainbow colors too!!!
Christmas deco at Siam Paragon.
Then it was time for some dessert so we went to our favorite place…
After You; We have to wait for around 20 mins to get a table for two no matter what time you go, it’s for sure filled with people!
Our favorite Shibuya Honey Toast.
The reason why I love thier honey toast is because it’s very crispy on the outside but soft and buttery inside because it’s still warm so it goes so well with vanilla ice cream! It melts the ice cream and the butter together the moment you put it inside your mouth. Gosh, I want one now!!!
Christmas decorations always cheer me up!
We were super satisfied with our dessert and dinner so we decided to call it a day. Before that, we camwhored in front of the big ass mirror in Siam Paragon.
We went back to the hotel and fell asleep like a baby at around 11pm hahhaa.
Our itinerary for our second day was to visit the four faced Buddha in the morning, eat Mcd for lunch then walk around Siam Square and Central.
Bought this fresh milk from Siam Paragon for our breakfast.
Top- Topshop Skater skirt- Topshop Bracelets- Autumn Ripple Sandals- Topshop Bag- Mulberry Hat- Siam SquareA short break for my LOTD pictures!
OK, back to our Bangkok post
We went to visit the four faced Buddha; I’ve made it our annual visit.
To those who are thinking to visit the four faced Buddha remember to not buy incense from the stalls outside the temple because they are selling them at 100 times more expensive compared to the one inside the temple.
JO and I took turns to pray so that we can help each other to take pictures, hahaha, typical tourist much? While waiting for him I took a few shots around the temple.
In love with their costume… Look at the details and the hat!
Took picture of darling praying… I think I’m pretty good in photography le… seriously, not bad one!
Then we had Mcd for lunch!! I love their spicy wings!
Suddenly turned into an angel when I was walking around central world … ==”
JO discovered Siam Vintage through Instagram so we decided to check it out.
The interior of this building is super vintage and cute! They sell a lot of vintage goods but most of their stuff are pretty expensive ==” You’re expecting a shirt at around RM100-200, it’s worth coming to take a look at it though.
I got this pair of sunglasses at Siam Square, it matches my outfit perfectly!
I think we spent our afternoon walking around Siam Square, this place is filled with treasure man! You have to pay 100% attention in every shop because you never know you might find something really cute at a very cheap price! Most of their stuff are selling at around RM25-35, and its considers pretty cheap edi!
I was like, ” Darling, r u hungry a? You want some pork noodles?” Then he was like “OK” so we randomly choose a restaurant that sells pork noodles.
We had pork noodles and papaya salad, so good!
Siam Square market is my current shopping spot in Bangkok now. The things that they are selling are quite trendy and cheaper compared to Chatukchak. Most of the stuff that I bought from this trip are all from Siam Square. I went to Platinum but I dont like it there, the quality is quite bad and their design is quite dated.
Dinner at Somtam in Siam Square Soi 5!
Long queue… The wait was around 30-45 min ==” So if you’re super hungry, I suggest you to buy some snacks before heading there haha
We ordered their famous papaya salad
Fried chicken, pork ribs soup, bbq beef and sticky rice! You know what, I got really addicted to eating sticky rice, it tastes so good and the texture is damn chewy!! You wont believe this because I bought one bag of sticky rice back so that I can have it in Malaysia too!
That’s pretty much it for our 1st & 2nd day in Bangkok, yea we eat and we shop ==”
To be continued…
