I’m currently back in my hometown for the Raya and Merdeka holidays. Thank god for the one week off from work!
As you all know,I just came back from a trip to Bangkok last week!
The day before departing, we met up with the others to discuss about the itinerary of our trip; the girls were like WE WANT TO SHOP!!!! The guys were like, “sightseeing means purely sightseeing a! NO SHOPPING ok!” We were like OooooKkkkk watever.
This time we travelled with MAS ’cause we managed to buy their promotion tickets and it was around RM393! Total cost of our trip including hotel was around RM750. It’s pretty cheap, ya?
I realized that there is nothing much to blog about BKK, besides taking pictures of what I’ve purchased and what food I had. So I’m going to continue with this trend by doing the same; gosh it sounds boring edi ==”
Top- Topshop Pants- Topshop Slippers- Chanel Bag- BalenciagaI tend to wear this black top when I travel ’cause it’s pretty comfy, and it will keep me warm when it’s cold, and it’s quite airy when it’s hot!
We stayed in I-Residence Silom. It’s just right in front of a BTS Station(LRT). Super convenient and it’s really clean and affordable.
Our first stop was Siam Paragon’s food court. Hahaha, I had the pork noodles and Thai iced tea that I had during my last visit.
This was what everyone had on the first evening. Everyone got really excited, and, ordered anything and everything that looked yummy!
I tweeted about this when I was in BKK. For those who missed it, Jaspal in BKK has this very cool photobooth for vain people like us to take pics of ourselves and you can then send your pictures to your email or upload them on FB. Pretty cool right!
Traffic in BKK is terrible! Thank god, their public transport is good!
Sorry no pictures were taken during our shopping spree in Platinum Mall. We did not have enough time to shop because we got to the mall at around 5.30pm and then found out that the mall closes at 8pm. Shops in the mall tend to start closing by 7.
Jo took us to this famous chicken rice shop near Platinum Mall for dinner. It was pretty delicious! The thing I liked most about their chicken rice was because it’s boneless!!!!
My first time trying Thai Instant noodles *thumbs up*
and also stewed pork!!!!!!!!! *drooling*
On the way back to our hotel, we ‘dabao-ed’ mango sticky rice! Super sweet mango and yummy sticky rice just cost us RM10, seriously…
The stuff that I got in Platinum Mall! If I’m not mistaken the total damage on the first day of shopping was around RM200 plus, CHEAP OR NOT!!!
We were exhausted from all the walking in the first day so we decided to call it a night. The second day was the most tiring day of our lives. The weather was being a bitch, it was super hot and humid!
Top: Bubble-chic Shorts: Topshop Slippers: Roxy Bag: BalenciagaOK, I have to say something about this. I think I have this curse of having to buy slippers whenever I visit Thailand. The last time I visited Krabi, my fav slippers broke and I was forced to buy a new pair at the hotel gift shop. This time around in BKK, the rain was absolutely pouring in the first day. I was wearing my Chanels and I knew I wouldn’t want to step in the rain and puddles of water with my Chanels. So, I ran into Central World mall to find myself a pair of cheap slippers and found ROXY on sale! They were only Rm13 so I bought them without thinking too much.
The sun was being a bitch, so this was how I looked like throughout the whole sightseeing session. Suddenly, this lil blue umbrella was my best company during my Bkk trip.
Me, Khei Sheen, Qi and Jacklyn. This was how we looked like before entering the palace.
“Perkerja Kilang”. The boys were making fun of us, and they said we looked like cleaning ladies in the palace.
I bet u’re thinking why am I taking a picture alone, and where are my frens. Ok, they were all under the shade! They were quite pissed with the weather and refused to take a picture ==” I was being the only tourist in the group.
Neh, a picture of us; We were standing under a shade so they happily posed for camera.
I forced Jo to take a picture of me and the guard. Hahahahaha
Another picture of us, we were sitting under a big tree, so, happy mode ON!
After visiting the palace, we were dehydrated so we decided to have lunch before going to the other tourist attractions. Bought myself a grass jelly drink and a bangle of flowers. Jo was saying people use this to pray so why are you buying one? I answered, “I’ve no idea! I thought it was pretty and it was only RM4.”
Juicy and super sweet coconut for RM2 !!! CHEAP OR NOT!!! Im a bit worried that maybe people form Thailand might read my blog and see my CHEAP OR NOT, and then they decide to raise all their prices.
Me and the Chao Praya river (I called it Thai milk tea river) YUP, I insisted to hold on to my bangle of flowers!
2nd stop was the temple. Love the colors of lotus buds.
and then we became a tourist attraction for 5 mins!
We were also happy princesses for 3 mins. I think I’m qualified to be a real THAI now.
Then went to the sleeping buddha temple and did the exact same thing as last time, click here to read about my previous visit.
We all decided to called it a day after visiting the sleeping buddha temple ’cause it was just TOO HOT!
Went to the little night market around Central World and got myself a pretty hairband for only RM15.
Finally, I can have Mcd for dinner! The best combo; spicy wings with Thai iced tea!
We went back to Platinum Mall to complete our mission from the first day. These are the stuff that I bought, total damage was around RM300 (not including the heels that I bought)
This pair of heels deserve to have a proper introduction on its own! I have finally gotten myself a pair of Jeffrey Campbells! I’ve always wanted a pair after seeing them all over Lookbook.nu. I was looking up and down for it online and was being too ‘kiam siap’ to pay for the shipping so I decided to give up on buying them online. During the last trip, I found their counter in Siam Paragon and I was over-the-top-excited but they ran out of my sizes! This time I told myself, I HAVE TO OWN A PAIR NO MATTER WHAT!!! They had my size and I brought these beauties back with me. They we’re around RM470 after VAT refund and a 5% discount.
Reached the hotel at around 10 plus, quickly showered and dressed up for the most happening night during our stay in BKK.
The couples. They are the cutest couple I have ever met!
The back of my dress. Got it in Platinum Mall for only RM28 CHEAP OR NOT!!!!
We finished the whole bottle of whisky and everyone was pretty high that night. Thank god it was a fun night, the crowd was awesome, the music wasn’t the best but we still danced like we owned the floor and it feels good to reject strangers by saying I’m not THAI over and over again! Hahaha
Well, that was pretty much it for days 1 and 2 in BKK, sorry for the overwhelming amount of pictures.
To be continued…
Stay tuned.
