Im back from my sweet sweet getaway with Jo. It was indeed the most tiring trip but I loved it.
I was checking FB and everyone has already posted their Valentine’s Day posts but Im still stuck with CNY’s, FAIL.COM.
I was supposed to go out for a movie with Jo tonite but I insisted to stay home cause I want to update my BLOG.
OK, I was thinking where should I start? Or which picture should I post for my CNY
post. I took over 400 pictures but I know I cant post them all online.
So, I thought, what about some highlights of my CNY. It sounds very irresponsible but I cant postpone this post any longer.
Here you go, this is how I celebrated my first 3 days of CNY at home.
3 of us were responsible for tying the red cloth above our main door.
I love Chinese New Year cookies! Mum asked me before CNY whether which type of cookies I would like to eat during CNY, and I replied, “the most fattening ones!”
Grandma’s homecooked steamed fish and chicken; my super favorites.
The gold colored lanterns that I bought in Petaling Street.
Went to the temple early in the morning on CNY eve.
On CNY eve we took a “flower bath” to clear out the past and welcome the new year.
This is the our family tradition during CNY eve.
When the clock turns 12am, we went to our grandparents place to 接財神。
Red is a MUST for our family on the first day of CNY.
My sister burnt her fingers on the first day. Long story short, my mum was complaining that the incense weren’t lit properly so she touched it to double check. Smart *applause*
I have been eating the same vegetarian noodles on the first morning of CNY for the past 25 years. SUPER DELICIOUS!
Meat balls with stuffed oysters! It’s one of my fav dishes during CNY too.
Family potrait with nacho baby in it =D
‘Kongming’ Lanterns just like the ones in Rapunzel.
Lou Sheng with Jo and my family.
I received a total of RM2600 in ang bao money!
Well, Thats it for my CNY.
I hope everyone had the most enjoyable CNY like I did.
I love CNY except for all the traffic I got into while on my way back to KL.
