I know I used to say “I dont like surprises.”
I have to apologize for that, because, in fact I do love surprises! I dont like it when it turns out to be something that I dont like such as going to a restaurant or places that I dont like, getting presents that I know I wont need or I don’t use. So, for me those are not surprises, they are just a waste of time.
Jo is always manages to surprise me without failing. What can I say? he knows me better than I do.
Long story short, I was supposed to go on a vacation with my girls but I have to attend an important dinner on the day and bla bla bla. Vacation cancelled and emo mood ON. I was really upset and Jo knows it.
Last friday, once I got home from work Jo asked me to pack and make sure I have enough clothes for 4 days. I was like where the fuck are we going la? He says Bangkok, yup the shopping paradise for girls!
Got to Jo’s place and saw baby protesting.
On the way to LCCT with excitement written all over my face.
We were craving for nasi lemak and satay the minute we looked at their menu even though we had McD for breakfast.
I hate having things on my tray so I always put all the stuff on Jo’s. Its not that I’m bossy but it’s just tat I always pour my drinks all over myself. I need a bigger space when it comes to eating.
We reached BKK International Airport at around 1.30pm and spent 1 and half hours at the immigration cause of the long ass queue and the very slow and laidback customs.
Took a taxi from the airport to our hotel for RM45.
We stayed in Ecotel Hotel, I wont recommend this hotel if you’re thinking to spend more time in the room than outside. People like me, I just need a place to put my stuff and a bed so a budget hotel is fine for me.
Slapped on some make up and walah Im all ready to shop!
Jo planned out the whole trip for me in advance. He says we should head over to Chatuchak weekend market on the first day.
The taxi driver dropped us at the wrong market so we had a hard time looking for the right one. We spent an hour walking around clueless and it was so hard to communicate with the local people because of all the pronunciations and accents.
Finally, we got to the right place and there was where the “350 baht -waw so cheap-omg only RM35” began.
I was sweating like a dog cause it was so hot and crowded.

Thank god Jo was there to guide me if not I would have got lost and never be found again in Bkk. I have a confession to make; I have a very bad sense of direction. I was lost in KL for 2 hours. I wanted to go to Pavilion from my office.
I wonder if I have any readers from Thailand or whoever who can read this, please translate it for me. I was having a hard time understanding this commercial and ad. There was a big fish eating a small fish.
We were too tired and hungry so we ended up having pork noodles in Siam Paragon’s food court. It was a good choice, super yummy.
Jo’s fish noodle also very de nice.
Very complicated decorations in Siam Paragon.
Love their Valentine’s day decorations at the bakery.
I have garlic looking nose ( so proud cox I love eating garlic)
My purchases of the day from Chatuchak. This was just a beginning of my shopping spree.
Got back to the hotel and slept like a baby.
to be continued…
