Last week I was invited by Kanebo KATE to attend their Spring/Summer collection workshop in KL. Lately I’ve received a few such invitations for skincare and cosmetic launches, and I find these events very interesting because I get to learn a lot of different makeup skills and also skincare tips from them. Most of you should have already heard about or used KATE so I will just skip the intro to the brand! The main theme color for KATE 2013 collection is GOLD, one of my favorite colors.

 The moment I got to my seat there was lots of KATE cosmetic lying on the table waiting to be use. Personally I prefer workshops that allows us to do our own makeup or play with their makeup while listening the professional makeup artists putting on the makeup on the models. I find it easier to understand and remember hahaha

 The workshop started with an introduction to KATE products and a step-by-step makeup tutorial by Mikiya Hirai, professional makeup artist from Japan. Everyone was busy doing their own makeup while listening to Mikiya san.

Goldish eyes- an eye shadow palette for realizing anticipating eyes with a captivating luster layering shiny gold and colored gold. I love gold eyeshadow a lot because it’s the only color that can help brighten up my eyes. Besides that, it can also be used as a highlighter!! It comes with different shades of gold so you can layer it to create the gradation for high-impact eyes!

 KATE gave us around an hour or so to enjoy the little finger food that was prepared. Look at the cute little burgers hahahah

KATE professional makeup artists were walking around the room, helping out those who needed more explanation on the products or on applying makeup.

Some of us used the opportunity to camwhore. It was fun to hang out with a younger group because they make me look/feel younger hahahaha. I remember I was discussing about enrolling into colleges with Jessica and I told her I couldn’t remember anything because it was 10 years ago T_____________________T

Another awesome product, which I love, from KATE is their powderless liquid foundation! What’s so awesome about this foundation? It turns into powder in 15 seconds once u apply it on your face. Besides that, the coverage is pretty good and it comes with SPF20 PA++. To be honest with you I have been looking for a foundation that I can apply my body hahahha and I finally found it.

I did a little shoot at home after applying KATE Goldish eyeshadow.

The Goldish eyes palette (WT-1) is prefect for a day look because it gives you a very natural look. If you’re looking for something more fun you can try KATE blue (BU-1) or pink (PK-1) palette too!

I’m not very good in blending eye shadow but KATE goldish eyeshadow is super easy to blend because KATE has already matched all the colors for you on one palette. All you need to do is to just apply from the lightest color to the darkest. I tried it and mine looks super well blended!!!
