Notice the ‘lil pink ribbon I wore on my blazer? Do you know October is ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ month?

Hehe, my pink outfit coincides with this campaign, and I thought I would raise some awareness to the cause.

One statistic that shocked me when I was reading through some facts was that 1 in 8 women get diagnosed with breast cancer!

There are a few ways to prevent it such as:

1. Eat 5 or more servings of fruits and vegetables each day

2. Limit processed and red meat in the diet

3. Limit alcohol consumption to one drink per day

4. Choose foods and portion sizes that promote a healthy weight

Prevention is better than cure, but please keep these important messages in mind:

Get your sisters, mothers, aunties, cousins, friends or girlfriends  to help to spread these 3 messages; you might save someone’s life!
