Hey everyone! Last Friday, I attended the Elegantology Party at Poppy Gardens, an event which I’ve blogged about last week! The dress code was “white elegance” and as soon as I saw this, I knew I had a huge problem awaiting me at my wardrobe. I have no white outfits… Not even a simple white dress! Haihhh. Brainstormed a bit with Jo and event went out to shop for some white pieces, but ended up putting something together from what I have. I think I look quite elegant hor? Hehehe
Top: Topshop High waist pants: Bangkok Bag: Chanel Necklace: BangkokAsked Jo to attend the party with me ‘cause he had no plans and I wanted company! Can’t thank my super husband enough for being so supportive! Anyway, took a picture at the photobooth after registration and got an Instax instant photo too!
The interior of Poppy Gardens was done up specifically for the party and it looked great, and you can see the limited Martell VSOP Edition Nuit projected on the wall, which was pretty cool as well.
A selection of finger food prepared by chefs Sherson Lian and Johnny Fua. The cheesesticks with tomato compote dipping was my favorite!
Met up with Hui Wen and her sister, Hui Ting, and got a table right in front of the stage, and everyone dressed in white!
They served Martell VSOP cocktails during the party and they were pretty yummy, but I don’t know why, recently, I kinda prefer my poison hard and fast. Hahahaha
Michelle Ooi came over to join us at our table and the place was getting really packed by now.
Then, chefs Sherson Lian and Johnny Fua did a quick cooking presentation with host Xandria Ooi, preparing a dish with lobster, crabmeat, and sour cream. Made me damned hungry at this point. There were waitresses walking around serving food and when one of them came by, me and Michelle literally ‘dabao-ed’ everything, hahahah.
The hungry girls! Told you edi, the cheesesticks were really good!
Then there was a fire-breathing, freestyle bartending performance. I was a little worried for the guy cause what if the caught the bottles at the wrong end! Wowww, and then when he did the fire-breathing trick at the end, we joked that our eyebrows were burnt off edi, cause kiasu, choose the table next to the stage! Hahaha
Xandria announcing the start of the fashion show and the menswear collection presented here was designed by Daniel Chong, Hayden Koh, and Michael Ong. Here are some of my favorite pieces.
DJ Zara Gift from Thailand and DJ Faith from Malaysia. DJ Zara’s hair color was awesome and she really does look like the little mermaid, so hot!
Then as promised, the designers picked 6 men from amongst the guests as “Most Elegant Men” and each of them won a bottle of Martell VSOP Edition Nuit and a RM200 Elegantology Gallery voucher each! Congrats on your awesome prizes!

September 3, 2013 at 5:52 pmhmm tricky question! I always find online shopping is more affordable because some of the blogshop sells their clothes in a reasonable price. Anyway I would suggest Sg Wang! sometimes u can find nice outfit in a reasonable price!
