Hola! How’s everyone doing? It’s me again, Jo. Sorry for the disappointment if you were expecting Bo but she kinda tricked me into doing this post. Anyhow, I guess that I would have offered to do it for her anyway cause she’s been just so busy these past few weeks. I’ve always had my preconceived notions about how bloggers and blogging is so easy, but recently Bo has been so busy with events and such, combined with her daily 9-5, that she has little time left for me.
Anyway, back to the post. This would be our third and fourth day in Boracay, and also our last day in the Philippines, which was spent in Clark. After the adventures of the previous day, I have basically come to a daft conclusion that the adventurous life of being a badass, cliff diving, treasure looting, womanizing pirate, was not my particular cup of tea.
I was still pretty shaken and still felt like I was floating in the sea whenever I closed my eyes, so we decided to take it easy and just spend the day enjoying the sun and laying on the beach.
It was another beautiful day in Boracay and going through our pictures now, I’m still plenty amazed at how beautiful this place is!
Bo has this weird fetish for trying out McDonald’s whenever we visit a foreign country. Back in the States, McDonald’s was another major component to our 5 food groups, so to us, there are fruits, veges, grains, protein, dairy, and McDonald’s. For the record, I think this is pretty unhealthy but, hey, we’re still alive…
After lunch, we headed back to Johnny’s Fruit Shake to hang out and have more fruit smoothies. I had a mango and Bo had the iced tea again, so being a kid that she was, she decided to find out how they’d taste together. Haha, sometimes I call her Curious George.
Bought Bo this swimsuit from Victoria’s Secret a few years ago and she never had a chance to wear it till now. I think its super sexy and works very well with her figure. She’s got no boobs and no hips so it’s hard to find bikinis/swimwear that suit her. Some people ask why I’m so open to Bo posting up pictures of her in swimsuits and I always answer, why the hell not? She works hard to achieve this figure so if you got it, flaunt it.
The tide was also so low that we could walk out over to Willy’s Rock. Probably the guy who stumbled upon in was Willy? IDK.
Finally got another picture of us. It’s funny how every vacation we take, it seems like Bo is traveling alone cause there are probably 100 pictures of her to just 1 of us, so it’s not like she doesn’t post pics of us, it’s just that there aren’t any!
We spent the whole day at the beach and then spent most of the night at a coffee shop nearby. I remember I had a nutella and banana crepe and it was good. Gosh, by the time we left the Philippines I think I had turned into a pig.
The next day, we had about half a day left in Boracay before we had to embark on another adventure. Going back to Clark.
Here is Bo complaining how hot it was and how the water was getting her hat wet, wtf.
Here is Bo trying a very Vogue magazine-esque look but I think she just looks very confused.
Here is Bo looking like a cover for a Final Fantasy game, no? Hahaha
Here is Bo baking in the sun like a whole hog on a barbeque. I say so because we endlessly joked about how we were so bloated by the last day, I kept saying she would turn into pork jerky.
\We then went back to the hotel to take a shower, change, and then went to shop for some souvenirs.
Came across this impressive crepe stall and just had to get one. I now have a love-hate relationship with vacations. I eat too much.
Finally, it was time to leave. Picked up our luggage, hailed a trike, and headed off to the jetty. This time we took a smaller wooden boat that the locals usually take and headed back to Caticlan. We were also very, very, very determined not to take a van back to Kalibo and talk about fate, we ended up taking a van back to Kalibo. Bus tickets were all sold out.
Our flight home from Clark was departing in the evening so we basically had a whole day left in Clark. Headed back to the same restaurant for breakfast and I’m craving for a good American style diner breakfast right now. Its 12am, not good.
We decided to check out SM Mall which was about 10 mins away by car or trike. We decided to take a trike cause we thought it was cool but I soon regretted that. When one stopped for us, I thought, “Wow, does this come in an XL size?” The damn sidecar was so small that I literally had to crawl into the damn thing. Here, look at this picture I took. My knees were actually higher up than my face, so to put it frankly, it was uncomfortable.
Had plenty of time to spare so we watched Warm Bodies. It was released in the Philippines so much sooner than back here in Malaysia and I have to say, it was much better than I expected it to be. The cinema is so high tech! Say, u need to pee mid movie, just scan ur finger print at the exit, and then scan again to re-enter!
I really want to thank everyone in the Philippines who were so warm and welcoming to us! We really had a great time and will definitely visit again sometime soon! We have been planning to go to Manila for awhile now, so hopefully we’ll get to do that this year!
