When people think of Hong Kong they might think of delicious food and shopping but I think of Disneyland. Well, dont get me wrong because I had the most awful experience in Hong Kong Disneyland.
Yes, it was seriously like I was having a vacation in hell! People there were seriously rude and ignorant!
How can a normal human being behave like this! It’s DISNEYLAND not ur fucking house or pasar malam le!
I cant stop myself from scolding and getting angry at people there! Im talking about people who come from China.
My sister warned me the day before, she says “I tell u ah, this Disneyland is like a war zone one! Don’t have too high an expectation for it.”
I was thinking how bad can it be la, it’s Disneyland ma! I’ve been to the one in California and I seriously enjoyed every moment there! The people there were really nice and they behave like humans la not like monkeys ==”
I will try my best to tell you how bad was my experience with Hong Kong Disneyland…
We left the hotel early in the morning to catch a train to Hong Kong Disneyland. To be honest, their public transport to Disneyland is pretty convenient and isn’t too far away from where we stayed. The Disney train was the cutest train I have ever travelled in. Their little handles are the main attraction! I acted like a tourist so I snapped a few pictures of the handles and also the chairs while on the way to Disneyland.
We had nothing else to do so we took our sweet time to camwhore a bit hahaha. This is the only nice picture that we took for the day because in the rest of the pictures, we looked like shit (due to all the fight and scolding).
This is how the Disney train station looks like; it’s pretty cute la! I still think Hello Kitty is cuter though…
I was pretty smart because I wore long sleeves!!! The weather was crazy and the sun was shinning down like there was no tomorrow!
Reached the fountain and had a hard time trying to snap a perfect picture of it because people there clearly didnt know how to take turns to take pictures la, so I gave up and it ended up look like this, sigh….
Then we go through this bridge and it says, “Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy”. I seriously dont think so in Hong Kong Disneyland la
This is my favorite picture of all!!! My parents used to call us Chip N’ Dale because they say we look like them, naughty and talkative too! OMG, damn regret that I didnt buy them lo!!!
The my sister is the strawberry scented bear hahahahhahhahah It really smells like a strawberry le!!!
I think it’s a MUST to take a picture wearing a Mickey/Minnie hairband in the store, so I did the exact same thing hahah
The magic castle! We had to wait in front of the castle for about 10mins till they opened! This was where the war began! They will push you even though they know there is a gate in front of you. You have no where to go and then they end in front of you and you’re behind them. They just cant stand there and wait patiently, they will push you till you get fed up with them and then you will automatically move aside and let them pass.
So this lucky little girl got invited to be the special guest of the day and participate in an opening ceremony for Disneyland. Yes, those people at my back started pushing even harder and I had to use my umbrella to block them from touching my back ==’
The minute they opened the gate, those people ran like there is a monster behind them! While they were running you can clearly hear them shouting to their friends, “HERE! HERE!!! FASTER FASTER!” in Mandarin. We had to stop and stand at a side to prevent getting hurt or run over by them ==” There was a minute I thought I was in a Black Friday sale back in the States.
The first thing we did was to take picture with Disney princesses! Our lovely Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, they were super polite and sweet!
Then we went to Tomorrowland for Lilo and Stitch and a roller coaster ride! They say Im a super poser but you should look at Gin hahaha, she looks so grumpy!!
Ok, while we were queuing for Lilo N Stitch something happened! So the 4 of us were queuing and chit chatting and then suddenly these 2 kids from the middle of no where stood right beside me and started pushing and playing in the queue. At first i thought they were from the family who were queuing infront of us so I ignored them. Then they started coming closer to me and started pushing me a bit , then, to prevent them from stepping on my feet I moved away. They stepped on my sister’s bf feet, this was the last foot you would ever want to step on. My sis’s bf got really pissed and turned to them and said loudly, “Can you two stop playing! This is a queue not a freaking play ground!” We were queuing in a tunnel so his voice turned out to be super loud! Then the boys mother walked over to us while pulling her sons away from us and replied, ” R u crazy? Why are you so fierce to little kids? They are just kids! Why cant you let them play for a while! You’re an adult so you shouldn’t do that!” Sis’s bf turned to her and said, “I wasn’t scolding them, I was just trying to tell them to stop playing! They step on my feet for more than 3 times edi! You’re the mother you should control them.” Then she continued, “You crazy! You’re an adult!! You crazy!”. The mother-in-law came up to her and pulled her away saying, ” Your kids are wrong! They shouldnt be playing her” but the mother ignored her and continued scolding us. The Disney guard came to us and kept apologizing to us but the mother just wont stop scolding us even though we apologized for shouting at her kids. Just so you know they weren’t little kids! They were like 12- 14 years old edi! Thats the first time I experienced the rudeness of mainland Chinese people. Well, you shouldn’t let your kids play in the queue in the first place! Secondly, they were queuing at the back of us, how did they suddenly end up in front of us while we were talking? Talk about manners…
The aunty seriously spoiled our mood but luckiy Lilo N Stitch made it up to us! The show was so interesting and hilarious! I always act like a fool when taking pictures with my twin hahahahha
We went to Toyland! A park filled with colourful toys! I refused to sit on this ride because I hate the feeling of dropping!
Took a picture with the toy car in Toy Story! It was moving at high speed that’s why my hands were flying up in the air!
Jie and Daniel (her bf) went on this scary ride. She came back from the ride looking very angry! I asked her what happened and she said there was a father and son who cut in to their queue. She says the son squeezed between her and her bf and then stopped and stood in front of them ==” Then the worst thing was that the father didn’t stop him but instead, he followed him and did the exact same thing! My sis got really angry and asked him to queue up like everyone else then he replied he was just trying to check out the front la! ==” When the guard opened up the gate he and the son ran up to them and said, “WE ARE THE FIRST ONE IN LINE, LET US IN FIRST!” Seriously, how can humans behave in such a way!
While sister and her bf were enjoying themselves in the ride, Gin and I stayed in the toilet because there was air conditioning!!!! I was telling Gin, can we not leave this toilet a?
Thank god I bought this super anti sun umbrella, couldn’t feel the sun at all when I used it! I think that was my lifesaver during the trip to China and HK.
Saw this super cute bottle thingy and wanted to buy it as a water bottle then only found out it’s a Tupperware for pop corn not a bottle.
After the Mickey parade we headed to the Lion King musical, and it was my worst nightmare! OK, I’ll try to describe what happened and you all try imagine la ok.
When we were standing outside the auditorium, a group of tourists from mainland China rushed toward us. I was telling my sisters saying “Eh, since we are already in this area we just stand at the side and let them in first, then only we enter the hall la.” I dont want them to push me again! So we all agreed and we stood right in between a pillar and some bushes. I was telling myself, “Ok la sure they wont push me edi since Im all the way inside and it’s super narrow here!” The minute the doors opened, they started pushing like there is someone chasing from the back la! They wont just push among themselves one, they will come and push you even though they know you cant move! I turned around and saw a few 40- 50 year old aunties climbing up the stone benches and jumping up and down like a monkey just to reach to the entrance! I was seriously damn stoned and was really worried that they might fall and die!
Then out of no where this aunty came towards me and started pushing (just so u know I was standing in between the pillar and a bush a). She tried to push me to the front and I turned to her and told her to stop pushing!!! She ignored me and continued pushing me, I lost my balance and I nearly fell into the bushes! I might hurt myself or more importantly, my face la FTS! So I pushed her back and said, CAN YOU STOP PUSHING!!!!! I think I was too strong la so she fall a few steps back (not really fall down la) The minute I turned over I saw NO ONE as in ZERO people standing around us! Which means she was the only one who was pushing me and I have no idea why cant she divert around me ==! She got really angry and she ran to me and wanted to hit me with her umbrella! I continued walking and she followed me and wont stop scolding me. I ignored her and continued walking into the auditorium.
I was seriously disappointed at the people there during my visit to Hong Kong and especially China.
The only thing good about HK Disneyland during my visit was that the shop keepers and also all the employees in Disneyland were super helpful and polite! They happily helped us to take our group picture and patiently waited for the tourists to leave so that our picture wont be crowded with strangers ==”
One last picture of the castle!
We decided to head back to our hotel and skip the fireworks show ==” I think it’s fated that I can never experience the beauty of Disneyland’s fireworks because the last time I went Disneyland California I didn’t get to watch it too T__T
Never mind I can just watch it on youtube hahahha cox Gin says there is nothing special about it and the weather was insane!
To be continued…
